I take an athlete-centred approach to coaching. Whether you are an athlete looking to improve performance, or an athlete who is no longer able to participate in the sport you love (e.g. injury, illness, retirement), you are the focus. This involves a collaborative approach to goal setting, self-awareness, motivation, and the development of skills to deal with self-defeating thoughts and behaviours. By engaging you in the process, there is a greater likelihood of sustainable change in your life.
As a lifelong athlete, I have experienced many of the highs and lows of sport. I’ve played Rep sports, and I’ve been cut from teams. My children have played Rep sports, and been cut from teams. I’ve been a world champion, and I’ve also been forced out of sport after a motorcycle accident left me learning how to walk properly again. Now, I workout, run, cycle, ice skate, waterski, and so much more. In order to recover from a catastrophic accident, you need the right mindset.
With over 30 years of coaching experience ranging from beginner youth sports to elite athletes, I’m confident that by working together, you will experience growth and positive change.
